 TUESDAY, APRIL 5 TH : 5:45 P.M. TO 6:45 P.M. K-3 Family Reading Night

 This year’s literacy activities embrace a theme of social emotional health.

Please meet in the cafeteria at 5:40 p.m. After a short introduction
regarding our Title 1 services, students will rotate between a variety of
centers incorporating reading activities along with emotional supports
for regulating emotions in a healthy manner. Door prizes are provided at
each grade level. At the end of the event the children will stay with their
classroom teacher while parents can find a place in the gym for the music
program. Student artwork will also be displayed throughout the
building for public viewing.

 WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6 TH : 1:30 p.m. PLC EARLY DISMISSAL

 WEDNESDSAY, APRIL 6 TH : 7:00 P.M. 4-6 Music concert for band and
chorus

 Friday, April 8 th : First day of Illinois State Testing for grades 3-6

 Monday, April 11 th -14 th Illinois State Testing each morning. 3-6

 Third and fourth will test each day from 8:30-9:30 a.m.

 Fifth and Sixth will test each day from 10:00-11:15

 It is acceptable for students to bring extra snacks on those days if they
tend to get hangry…feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher if you’d
like to provide extra snacks for the class on those days. Also, I will be
doing daily drawings for prizes for students who try their best on the test
(i.e.…use all the time provided and do not disengage). Students will enter
an active engagement ticket into a drawing and will be allowed to choose
from a variety of prizes if they win the daily drawing. Please encourage
your students to get a good night’s rest prior to testing.

 April 15 th -18 th : No school Easter break

 April 20 th : 1:30 dismissal PLC day

 April 21 st : Illinois Science Test for 5 th grade only

 May 5 th : Kindergarten Round-UP 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
 May 18 th : 1:30 dismissal PLC day

 May 27 th : Entrepreneur Day in the gym: Stop by to buy! 9:00 a.m.

 June 2 nd : Carnival and Field Day Activities
